Have a Super Saturday

Does your day get thrown into a tailspin if something goes wrong early in the morning? Because something you were working on accidentally falls apart for no reason? Well that happened to me this morning when I was writing today’s article. For some reason, my previous article disappeared into the the world of 1s and 0s never to be heard of again! And let me tell you that I worked hours on the article and it was my best ever! (haha, okay maybe not, but I did work for a bit on it)

Golf is similar to my writing woes of today. I sometimes have the perfect plan, set everything up right, and then poof it all falls apart. What happens next will determine if I have a good day or a bad one; it is really up to me.

As Arnold Palmer says:

Who am I to argue with Arnold Palmer. So, after a valiant search and a moment of frustration, article 2.0 was born. I choose to not let something I cannot control ruin my day; I decided to roll with it and keep smiling.

I hope you have an awesome Saturday. Remember to smile and be grateful!

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

  1. I’ve never tried to plan out an entire round. I don’t think it would help me. In fact, I think it would just add frustration. That said, I will try and get familiar with any new course before starting a round like I did to discuss the first hole on your home course. And doing that will give me a better idea of how I can best attack the course on a hole by hole basis. But final decisions will come when I’m on the course getting ready to play the next shot. Doing anything else makes it harder for me to have faith in what I need to do.

I completely understand. However, part of my plan is flexibility to adjust as needed. I agree that we never really know what is going to happen on the course and we have to play accordingly. It is all a delicate balance. Thanks.

      Cheers Jim
