Well Grateful Golfers, I am at a loss. I currently have 12 rounds in a row in the 70s. Normally I have a streak similar to this one each year, but never for this long. My game feels comfortable and I am confident that I can keep it going, but mentally, I am in new territory!
Mentally, I plan to prepare the way I have through to date using imagery and maintaining a positive attitude. I need to keep negative thoughts from creeping into the six inches of real estate between my ears.
So, I am asking for advice. What do you suggest I do to keep my streak of low scores going? Do you have any special techniques or drills you use?
If so, I want to hear what you have to say!
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
This is an awesome run. Congrats and keep it going.

Thanks, I am still playing very well. Heading out today with the thoughts of breaking par….well I think that every time.

Just stay in the moment, and enjoy the ride. Who knows it could get even better.

Jim,
I agree with the comments above. Just take confidence from your good play as of late but don’t put pressure on yourself to keep the streak going. It will take care of itself if you keep doing what you’re doing.
Cheers!

Jim, I agree with lifeisonthelinks. Forget about the streak lest you become a prisoner of it. I remember when Pete Rose was chasing Dimaggio’s hit streak. The deeper in he got, the more it became a distraction. Just enjoy your good play and know that when it’s over you are still the same player you were during the stretch. Enjoy and congrats on your good form!

That is what I did today. I forgot about the score and played every shot by shot. Scored 76 and will keep your and Lifeisonthelinks advice close. having fun and enjoying the round is the real prize.

Don’t think about the streak! Consistency seems to bring about a lot of added confidence in golf! Keep up the low scores!
