After some interesting conversations yesterday, I thought it would be interesting to show you what I mean by dangerous ground around the golf course.
These are just two quick examples uneven ground that all golfers should be aware of when looking for your golf ball.
Burrowing animals are a big hazard. See the hole?
Water run off causes trenches that catch the unsuspecting golfer.

Since I can’t add pictures here, I sent you one on twitter. My laptop is down right now due to a dead power supply so I can’t get to all of the pics I have of them. The one I sent is maybe 8 foot. A decent sized, but not especially big one. But it’s more than enough to make you think twice about getting too close much less turning your back on it. It’s rare but I’ve seen a few twice that size over the years. Big enough to swallow me whole.
