Which Player Shows Up At The Masters

It is Masters week! I am confident that if you have any interest in golf you have reserved your seat on the couch ready for the action. Even if you decide to travel out of the country during the Masters weekend, I am confident your are watching the leaderboard. The hype of The Masters is catching and my old home course of Osprey Links runs a Masters pool where we pick four players and try to accumulate points. It is something that I look forward too each year and this year I think I have the winning team.

The greatest challenge of selecting any player prior to teeing it up at The Masters is trying to determine which player is going to show up and to exceed their expectations. I have already offered my Masters selections, but the pool did not provide the same choices to match those.

Out of the choices of the pool I selected the following:

McIlroy, Rory – Northern Ireland
Johnson, Dustin – United States
Rose, Justin – England
Koepka, Brooks – United States

The players I am most concerned about are Rory and Justin. I just do not know which player is going to show up on Thursday. To win the pool, these two players need to first make the cut, and second string together four solid rounds in a row. It is a bit stressful trying to pick four potential winners (okay stressful is the wrong word, please exchange for fun), yet the anticipation of watching my picks play during all four rounds is even more fun.

I want to thank Jeff Rogerson, GM at Osprey Links, for running The Masters pool. It is a great way to start my golfing season. This year, I think I have a winning team. What do you think?

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
