Course management is a must have for every golfer. This mental approach to golf (as course management is all mental) allows players to loop a course without exacerbating the difficulties of each round. It might seem daunting, but in reality course management is an easy process that helps all levels of golfers accentuate their strengths during every golf shot. There is a cerebral process to golf and it manifests through course management. Therefore, I recommend that learning about course management and what it means to your game is a must.

The art of course management is a simple, empowering approach to playing a golf course. Many players think it a complex exercise in fuzzy logic because they have not taken the time understand this simple process. My approach is very simple which I developed over the years of trial and error. My golf journey to lower golf scores would have benefitted from someone explaining the various parts of course management earlier in my career.

Regardless, I have found a great six part series of short videos that will help you develop your unique course management process. As always, knowledge is important and this series presented by Andrew Murray will go a long way to speeding up your course management skills. Course management is the mental approach taken to ensure the right on-course decisions that fit best your playing style and/or abilities. Knowledge and understanding of what this means to your game is developed over time. This process is ever-evolving because your game is always in a state of flux.

If you are not yet convinced about the value of developing course management skills, then I remember this: course management lowers your golf scores. Nothing more complex than that! I am confident that lower golf scores are the prize for almost every golfer!
