The Twilight Zone of Golf

This is a tough time of year for most golfers in the northern hemisphere. We are transitioning from great to moderate to mediocre to poor golfing weather. Only the fanatical will continue to golf until the courses close on 31 Oct. And a few will brave the cold temperatures to golf longer.

But, professional golf is not the only thing happening in the golfing world.

Many amateurs, including myself, hit the links as often as possible in attempts to shoot their lowest score ever. Others decided that having fun and not keeping score was the way to play. And yet, a final group just hit the ball and enjoyed being on the links. Unfortunately, their golf season is also ending. For those of us in the northern clime and now is the time for introspection.
