Playing Golf With New Friends

Playing golf with friends is always fun. Playing golf with new friends is something I thoroughly enjoy and yesterday I had a chance to expand my circle of grateful golfers. My wife is from a small town in Ontario and recently reconnected with an old friend, Michele. Little did I know I would be the beneficiary of this re-connection as I was invited to golf with her husband Jacques. He brought his brother Gilles and an old mutual friend Glen who I knew from years ago. We decided to meet at the Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort for a quick round and to take the chance to get to know each other.

Tee It Up For Mattawa Healthcare 2019

Tee It Up for Mattawa Healthcare” charity golf tournament is on 21 August 2019. It starts on Tuesday, 20 August 2019, with a practice round at Mattawa Golf & Ski Resort. I played in 2017 and missed last year because of health issues, but this is a great event and must attend on my tournament schedule each year.

2-Man Scramble – Day Two

The final day went as expected. Blair and I needed a fast start and want to shoot between 6 and 8 under to have a chance at any of the prizes. Of course that was our goal going in and the challenge was to successfully execute that plan. We decided not to do anything significantly different except make a few more putts. At least it was a plan.

As expected, we showed up early to practice before our first round. We have played in many of these events in the past and being prepared to play is half the challenge. Practice Round Before a 2-Man Scramble

Yesterday, Blair and I traveled to Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort for our practice round before play today. We entered into a 2-Man scramble and look forward to teeing it up against 32 other teams. Mattawa golf course is a 9-hole gem with many opportunities to score very low. I shot even par yesterday with many chances to shoot lower.
