Golfing Solo on the Golf Course

Gratitude2Golf is an awesome social game. It offers great opportunities to meet some fantastic people and I generally take advantage of it. Sometimes, however, it is nice to play a round solo to gather my thoughts and focus on being in the moment.

Today, by the time you read this post, I will either be on the course or long finished. I am playing early birds at my home track and anticipate being the only player there for at least an hour. A few years back, I played many solo early bird rounds and enjoyed walking the course in solitude. Today should be no different!

cropped-sunshine-in-the-morning-blog.jpgAs I hit the course today, I am going to play the tips. I have not played from there for some time and I think it is time to give it a whirl. I expect my score to remain the same, but we shall see.

I will bring my camera to take pictures of the sun rising or any wildlife I happen to encounter. I enjoy listening to the birds and other creatures while I play with no background noise of cars, golf carts or people talking. I find it quite relaxing!

I am going relish in the rising sun. I find watching the sun rise on the golf course is very therapeutic. It is something that reaffirms my gratefulness of being able to play golf in such beautiful surrounds.

I will take the time to smell the fresh air! To fill my lungs with natures aromas and to let the smells trigger fond memories of times gone by. I enjoy the freshness of early morning air as it awakens all my senses.

Oh yeah, there is the golf as well. Today will be about the journey around the golf course and I will use golf to enhance my experience. I love playing golf in the early morning, solo, and today will be the first time this year. It is going to be awesome!
