Thinking About Golf

I remember about 2 years ago when I decided to start writing every day on my blog. It was a decision I made because I wanted to grow my knowledge about golf and have fun doing it. I also remember a reader (Rick Williams PGA) mentioning that writing every day was feeding the beast…..allot! Well, Rick was right, but I honestly say that I enjoyed pontificating daily.

Unfortunately, there comes days like today where I do not have anything substantial to write about. I am in between topics although I do have a few things brewing. I am an inspirational writer where something pops into my head and the words magically appear on the paper. But, with know inspiration….my oh my it is a challenge.

It is recommended to me on a regular basis that I should write a book. After 1000+ articles, I am told that I have enough material to write a book about golf. I have tried to start a couple of times and yet, nothing shows up on the page. I guess I am not inspired enough to take on this challenge. It will come in the future, but just not now.

Writing about golf is very easy. We can talk about the mental side, physical side, or emotional sides of golf. We can talk equipment, videos, quotes, and much much more. There really is no limit to the number of topics available every day, it is all a matter of inspiration.

So after lamenting about not being able to write something, I have an article complete. It is only about 300 words and yet I have a feeling of accomplishment for writing something.

Well, improving our golf game is very similar to writing an article. Sometimes I just have to start practicing and something magical happens. My game starts to improve by baby steps. It is nothing dramatic or earth shattering, yet I can see improvement. I guess the point to my diatribe is to start something and see what happens. You never know, the answer you are looking for my just be one swing away!

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
