Putting is key to low golf scores. This is no revelation and not very profound, but something most amateurs (including myself) forget from time to time. I have my own putting style that I described it many years ago (Start with Part 1 if you are interested) and it follows most of Jack Nicklaus views on putting. On Sunday, I was able to scoot out for a round of golf. It was a beautiful day and I fortunately the course was relatively empty so I walked on. At the 4th hole, I met up with my friend Fernando and we finished the 18 holes at a nice leisurely pace. Additionally, we met up with Tim and Ron on the 10th hole to round out our foursome. Overall, it was a great day for golf and I played with some fun guys. However, I did notice that I finished weak on both nines that did hurt my golf score.

I was fortunate enough to play in a fun scramble tournament on Friday for my work place: 22 Wing North Bay. My team was made up of a beginner, an intermediate player, long hitter, and myself. As I watched the other three players swing away, I realized just how important my balance and weight shift is to my game.

Lately, I have played more scramble tournaments than regular stroke play. It is great fun and I still have an event next week to play before my tournament season starts to wind down.
